Suggest Remedy For Ear Pain

Eight days ago I blew my nose and heard a loud screeching noise in my right ear. Now I cannot hear in my right ear at all. I went to the doctor last Tues. and she gave me a prescription of Amoxicillin 500 mg 3 times a day. I still cannot hear out of that ear. Is there anything I can do on my own?

Hi.
You really can not do anything at home.
Doing something at home can cause further complications .
You already have one. By blowing the nose the secretions and /or the air is forced through the Eustachian tube to the part of the middle ear and you get blockage- the reasons can be :: either the collection of the fluid into the middle ear cavity. This will take a few weeks to get clear or ou can request your ENT to get a small cut into the ear drum and aspirate , this heals fast.
Second reason can be the ear drum gets perforated by the increased pressure inside the middle ear.

Get an opinion of an ENT and get diagnosed and treated accordingly.
