Suggest Remedy For Dryness In Mouth And Hoarse Voice

I have been suffering from dry mouth for 3 months (I have had dry eyes for many years, osteoarthritis in most joints, multiple allergies (food & other), gluten intolerance & severe, frequent migraine (receiving botox treatment). My voice is becoming quite hoarse and sore, esp. of a morning or when I speak at length. Extensive blood tests are all negative (& have been repeatedly through the years). I am not on meds known for causing dry eyes or mouth. My specialist says he doesn't believe I have Sjogren's & doesn't want me to have the lip biopsy because, even if I have it, it's the milder form so he doesn't want me labelled. I have been seeking answers to my multiple problems for many years & feel I am getting nowhere. Any suggestions or ideas?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your query the symptoms of dry eyes or Xeropthalmia and dry mouth xerostomia are hallmark symptoms of Sjogrens syndrome as it is an autoimmune disease and as you already have other autoimmune diseases like Gluten intolerance so the chances of having Sjogrens syndrome is high..
You should consult a Rheumatologist and and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluations and laboratory investigations can be diagnostic..
As of now you should take artificial tear drops for lubrication in eyes and can be instilled multiple times in eyes for reducing dryness in eyes..
You should also chew sugar free chewing gums as it helps in stimulating saliva flow..
You can instil artificial saliva drops in mouth for lubrication..
Drink plenty of water..
Avoid using mouthwash as it has drying effect in oral cavity..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
