Suggest Remedy For Difficulty In Socialising And Lack Of Self Confidence

I want to be alone all the time, is there something wrong with me? I mean I do not have any problems making friends it's just I do not want any. Whenever people call me I don't answer or if I do I make an excuse on why I cannot go out. And lately I find that I lose my temper over the littlest things and I get aggravated very quickly. Another reason I feel like I don't go out is because I am very insecure about the way I look and I feel like people talk about me whenever I go outside. Is this normal?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. The symptoms like difficulty in socialising, problems in making friends, don't answering the calls, losing temper on minor things, feelings of insecurity etc could be some personality issue or may even occur due to mild depression.

As these symptoms are causing difficulty in day to day functioning to I'd advise you to consult a psychiatrist for proper evaluation. Medicines like SSRIs as Fluoxetine, Sertraline, Paroxetine etc help to reduce these symptoms. Visit a psychiatrist for prescription.

Hope this helps you. Take care. Thanks.
