Suggest Remedy For Dark Itchy And Dry Patches Of Skin On Buttocks And Back

Hi, my name is Shavonne Jennings & I ve been experiencing some dark dry itchy patches on my skin. It started on one butt cheek & I thought it was just some dry skin so I put lotion on it for a while & it wouldn t go away. I asked many people and they told me it was just dry skin but I m starting to get skeptical. It eventually spread to my upper back thigh & on my other butt cheek now I m starting to get concern. Thank you.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due fungal infection like tinea corporis. If you send a picture then it will be more helpful in identifying. For such condition I would recommend using ointments with combination of antifungal like miconazole and corticosteroid like flucinolone for local application. You can wash the area with warm saline before applying this.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
