Suggest Remedy For Cough In Athletes

I go running outside every weekend and I have noticed that now (since the beginning of summer) I cough thru my whole run. I also cough during my workouts at the gym when I am doing cardio - whether it be running on the treadmill, or on the eliptical etc. I never had an issue before. I am an avid runner, half marathoner and this could become an issue especially with long runs. Please help!

Hello.....

Do you have cough with fever???
Dry cough or wet cough with expectoration???
Smoking history ???

Here Cough occur as reflex mechanism secondary to irritation...
If you are chronic smoker then it can occur..
If you have history of acid reflux then also it can lead to cough...

Here you can have influenza respiratory infection if history of fever also...
If still cause not clear bronchitis or restrictive lung disease searched for by pulmonary function test and chest x ray..

For dry cough dextromethorphan tablet can given..
For wet cough ambroxol can taken as mucolytic....

Meanwhile symptomatic management done.

Take care.
