Hello I am a 64 year old male, who has been non stop sick for over 7 months. My symptoms have been the same even though i have been to the doctors for guidance and help. I am normally a fit male, who goes regularly up country for excercise and sport. ive been doing this for 40 years and have not come across these symptoms before this year. I cough non stop, dry mouth, apparently no chest infection, hard to breathe, enlarged lymph nodes on my lungs, slowly decreasing now from 6 months ago, on antibiotics, inhalers of several kinds, no difference could i be allergic to antibiotics if so how can i find out. Hello Mark,
it is important to rule out allergy, since you spend so much time outdoors and exposed to pollen. Inhalers would help but so would a nasal spray, which your ENT might advise you.
Meanwhile, try saline nose drops, warm saline gargles and steam inhalations with tincture of benzoin.
