Suggest Remedy For Continuous Diarrhoea After Hernia Repair
I had herrnia repair done back in Nov, they found part of my small bowel was strangulated and had to remove it. I was recovering fine till one of the drains came out and was oozing a foul smelling liquid. They ordered ultrasound but before. It could be read i was in er with 102fever and throwing up a browon fluid. They found my blood septic And an abcess on abdomine wall. They also found with tests my gallbladder had shutdown. I had drain placed in it. When i left hospital i weighed 218 lds. Later the drain was removed but i havehad continous diherra and have been gaining weight and feels like abdomine is swelling not fatgain. As of today i am 278 lbs. I tell doctor it isnt rlight butthey Donot listen. What can ido.

1) Was part of bowel was cut during hernia surgery? If this is the case that means part of small bowel was cut and jointed. Foul smelling discharge from drain indicate possibility of leak from this joint.
2) This leak also lead to formation of abscess and sepsis in blood.
3) If location of abscess is in lower part of abdomen then it irritate lower most part of intestine and produce diarrhea.
4) You must correct this abscess either with antibiotic or with drainage to prevent blood sepsis.
5) Resolution of this abscess is mainstay of treatment.
