Suggest Remedy For Constipation

Hi my daughter has always had trouble going to the toilet but it is now getting worse. She is now 34 months old, she has just gone 5 days without going to the toilet. She has lactose 10ml everyday and 5ml Senne at night time. When she does go it is very hard and too big to pass without being in pain. Yesterday when she went there was White fluffy stuff attached and I have not seen this previously, it is sometimes dark in colour with a little blood where she has torn herself going to the toilet. I have been to see our GP but he said this is normal for children, but everyone else does not agree could you please give some advice.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, Thanks for asking. In my opinion you should give her more fibre in her diet and also lots of liquid. Also get her thyroid levels checked as part of investigation for constipation. I hope I have answered your question.
