Suggest Remedy For Cold And Congestion

My daughter is 7 years old and caught a cold early last week. It started with a cough (she has asthma), and about 3 days later turned into the full blown out cold with a lot of congestion. The congestion lasted about 3 days and her symptoms have improved greatly by using Neil Med sinus rinses throughout the day. It has been about a week since the congestion started and when she wakes up she still has yellow mucus coming out her nose from the rinse and a rattly cough. After the sinus rinse, she is fine for the rest of the day. We are still treating her with her asthma inhalers and sinus rinses. As a young child, she was on antibiotics constantly and I am trying to battle this. Is this a battle I am losing?

Thanks for the query.
No you are not losing the battle.
There is no need to give antibiotics everytime unless the child has fever due to bacterial infection.
You can try giving her salbutamol for cough and levocetrizine plus monterlikast combination for cold after consulting with your doctor.
Hope i helped you.
