Suggest Remedy For Chronic Metallic Taste In Mouth
My Mother has been experiencing a metallic taste in her mouth with all foods, since she had stomach/intestinal flue, about a month ago. the diarrhea, has continued one or two days a week. Imodium has helped, her Dr. suggested yougart every day. but Mom will not eat yogart so instead she has been taking acidophilus with each meal.
Understanding your concern. As you mention in your query that your mother has metallic taste(dysdeusia) in mouth .Well the most common factor that cause metallic taste mouth is side effect of some medication as imodium in your case .
Some antibiotics and procedures like chemotherapy can also cause metallic taste in mouth .I would suggest you to consult your doctor to substitute her medicine.
For now what you can do is take lycopene supplement ,chew sugar free gum and drink fresh fruit juice.Keep taking yogurt and acidiphilus.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
