Hi,
Pain in ankle is probably due to osteoarthritis, which also has affected the knee. Gout usually affects the large toe and is a painful condition secondary to increased uric acid levels.
He is on treatment for chronic bronchitis and needs to continue the therapy.
For osteoarthritis, as it is in advanced state physiotherapy to maintain mobility is necessary. Nutritional diet is necessary along with weight control. NSAIDs group of painkillers can be used for treatment. For severe pain, opiod analgesic prescription can be taken from your doctor.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
