We have a big fire up north of here and our air has been hazy and smokey for about a week now. In the center of my chest, and my throat I feel like I swallowed a hot coal. Just curious if this is most likely caused the the bad air quality right now?

The type of symptom you are mentioning is because of carbon monoxide poisoining. it will cause chest pain and burning. also the throat pain is because of the direct irritative effect of the fumes. thnx
