Suggest Remedy For Burning Sensation And Numbness In Finger

hi, my husband was cutting jalapeno peppers today. it seems to have gone in to open cuts on his hands. he has had burning sensations and numbness in his fingers since 2:00. We called 911 and were told that the ER will not do anything for that and that he should drink milk and have bread to help ease the burning. He is in pain and cannot get comfortable. Is there anything we can do? We don t want to waste time and money in the ER if there is nothing they will do for him. Thank you.

HI,
Welcome to healthcaremagic.com
I have read your query in detail and do understand your concern.

In such situations, I advise my patient to apply a mixture of antibiotic and steroid cream over the affected area twice a day .

Keep the affected area under running water for a few minutes.

If the above do not relieve the pain, Analgesic drugs, like, Tab Diclofenac can be taken twice a day (if not allergic to it).

This will help in counteracting the pain and inflammation .
Apply a bland moisturizing cream like white soft paraffin many times a day.

Hope this helps!
You can revert back if you have any other question.
Good luck!
