Suggest Remedy For Burning And Bald Patch On The Scalp

I a total hysterectomy almost 3 weeks ago and woke up with a painful area of my scalp after surgery. This area is still painful and I have lost all the hair in that area. The area hurts and I have a few other area that burns and tingles. I suspect this is due to the anesthesia and length of the procedure. Do you recommend use of topical steroid at this time

Hi..
welcome to healthcaremagic.com and myself Dr. Atishay Bukharia would be answering your questions..

You might be suffering from ALOPECIA AREATA but it is very rarely painful so I would advise you to visit dermatologist or sent us the photographs for proper evaluation. Treatment depends only on the diagnosis so till then refrain yourself from using any steroids.

hope it helps
