Suggest Remedy For Bumps In Public Area

I have one small painless red bump in my pubic area several inches above the penis. it does not itch burn or have puss or blister or anything close to that...and it seems as if it would be very difficult to pop... i just trimmed the area with some clippers a day or two before. the weird thing is that i had folliculitis about 4/12 months ago in the same region but it looked differently than this bump and there were several of them that time...this time there is only one... i was prescribed some benzoyl peroxide and clindamyacin phospate...which worked and ridded the folliculitis in about 4-5 days..i have plenty of it leftover and used it on this bump but it has done nothing... also it should be noted that i havent engaged in sexual intercourse or contact in about 4 months...also i was tested for herpes 4 1/2 months ago and came back negative another very weird thing is the day before it turned into this bump i woke up and there was a black speck where the bump is now. it clearly wasnt a scab as i was able to flick it off easily without having to pick at it or anything like that and after i flicked it off there was no blood or anything and it was gone...it appeared to be a dark piece of dirt or something like that..very odd..but the next day it turned into this small painless itchless red bump...ive had this for about a week or son..can anyone help?

Hello
Thanks for query.

Painless bump on the pubic area is most likely to be Sebaceous Cyst .

However final diagnosis can be confirmed only on clinical examination by a qualified General Surgeon.

The skin in pubic area and genitals is rich in sebaceous glands and hence prone to get more sebaceous cyst due to accumulation of sebum beneath the skin.
Normally they fade away without treatment however they need to be treated if increase in size or get infected.

Please consult qualified General Surgeon for clinical evaluation and further treatment.
If needed if it big may need to get excised in Toto (Completely along with
the sac).
