General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

A lung clot can cause shortness of breath but it is normally associated with chest pain and the pain and shortness are not just on activity. They would be constant.

Shortness of breath on activity can be relate to the heart in some cases. It may also be due to anemia, asthma or other lung diseases.

To determine the cause, you would need to be assessed by your doctor.

I hope this helps
