Suggest Remedy For Blood In Urine And Stool

I have degenerative disc, cervical spinal stenosis, osteoporosis and full body spasms. I have only had maybe 5 to 8 regular bowl movments in 8 yrs, they have all been diarea. I was told by ER that I have blood in my urin, I know I have blood in my bowl movement. If im on my feet for more than an hour or 2 through out the day, I start bleeding like a period but it goes away within a day.

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query.
I dont think these 2 are related-

In most cases, blood in urine is caused by urinary infection or urinary stones so you should do urine analysis, urinoculture and kidneys ultrasound to rule these out. Also, vesicoureteral reflux may be possible cause which is anomaly of bladder but can be easily treated. You should drink raspberry tea and plenty of water till you do tests- Also, avoid sexual intercourse and have keep good hygiene. You should reduce salt in your diet as well. In most cases this is self limiting but sometimes antibiotics are required and more invasive tests such as cystoscopy or J prothesis insertion.

On the other side, pain and bleeding through rectum are benign and include hemorrhoids, anal fissure or rectal polyps. These are primarily treated with stool softener, diet and sitzbaths. If there is no improvement in next few weeks, then surgical management should be considered. Other causes may be more serious and include tumors or inflammatory bowel diseases and these should be ruled out with colonoscopy which must be done if there is low blood count present or rapid weight loss. Otherwise, you can see if conservative therapy will help and consult proctologist if necessary
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.DR. Ivan Rommstein
