I am a 40 y/o African American women who recently had laproscopic surgery for ectopic pregnancy. It has been 6 weeks since my surgery and I have developed major acne on both sides of my face and cheek bones. Can you advise me on what I can use to correct this?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, acne in this age of forty years of age is less common unless it is being there since your teenage, underlying cause of this is matter of concern in this age and excessive hormone could be the cause, beside this infection need to be treated and for that try "Doxycycline 100 mg" once in day for 15 days, apart from this specific treatment of acne needs the long term treatment and it goes on changing from time to time according to the clinical condition so better to see the dermatologist and be in regular follow up, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
