Suggest Remedy For Acne Due To Champix
i started taking champix to quit smoking and after taking them for a week i started getting acne. I stopped taking the champix after 2 weeks, and now 10 days later im still getting these pimples that i never used to get. Iv been off the champix for 10 days and only took it for 2 weeks..how much longer do you think i will continute to get acne for? will it be out of my system soon? im 32 years old, 50kg and 168cm tall. In great helath apart from smoking on and off...now off. didnt previously get pimples

Understanding your concern. As per you query you have acne due to use of champix to quit smoking, well acne are common in this case as it will change metabolism of body and leads to hormonal changes as well. I would suggest you to avoid greasy creams ,use water based products. Don't pick or touch acne. Wash you face 2-3 times a day with mild soap and warm water to prevent the accumulation of oil ,dust and bacteria on your face. If acne still persists consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe ointments containing benzyol peroxide,azelaic acid or retinoids. Sometimes doctor may also prescribe antibiotics. Apply vitamin E oil at night. Apply apple cider vinegar then wash with warm water twice daily.
