Suggest Remedy For Acne And Dry Scalp

I have had acne breakouts on the sides of my head (I am in the military so I get the sides shaved every 2-3 weeks) for about a month now, and nothing I do seems to get rid of it. I have Neutrogena acne wash and acne wipes that I ve used on it, as well as my Head & Shoulders dry scalp, anti-dandruff shampoo. I am an 18 year old male. What can I do?

Hi,

I can understand your concern for relapses of acne. Acne vulgaris is a multifactorial skin disease exacerbated by many factors like stress, anxiety, worries, oily food, milk, travelling, sleeplessness, dandruff, drugs like steroids....etc. you consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis and perfect treatment.

I would like to suggest as follow....

- antibiotics like minocycline 50 mg daily in morn
- isotretinoin 10 mg cap at night
- clindamycine gel on lesions at night
- cleanse the face with antiseptic like cetaphil lotion
- avoid exacerbating factors

Have patience....you may take long time to recover. I hope this would help you.

Thanks..
