General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
Since you are a medical student you would be knowing that the pattern of facial hair is genetically determined.
There is no approved method to grow facial hair. The creams and lotions available in the market are not effective and they just give you placebo results .
Your family history indicate poor beard growth, and you are inheriting same genes and it reflect on you also .
You can try vitamin E suppliment like evion ,it would improve general health of your skin, but results can not guaranteed.
If you are very much concerned ,you can go or facial hair transplantation,It would be very expensive and available only in few centres in India.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
