Suggest Remedies For Tingling Sensation In Upper Back
Hello. I have been experiencing tingling in my upper back on both sides. It feels like a have the TENS stim machine on my back. I haven t used the Tens in a few weeks and i don t even use it in this area of my back. I have been experiencing the sciatica lately on my right side, lower back pain and even pain shooting through my wrist to my thumb. Any ideas what any of these could be? Related? Thank you
Hello, I have gone through your query and understand your concerns.
Many of the nerves in the upper back carry sensory information from the rest of the body back to the brain. Pinching of these nerves can lead to numbness and tingling. Numbness and tingling from a pinched nerve in the upper back can occur along the back or in the arms, neck and chest. Often pain and numbness or tingling will occur simultaneously, but these symptoms can occur separately. In your case most likely there is a disc compression which is causing such problems. I suggest you to have a MRI whole spine to rule out the cause.
Hope this answers your query.
Regards, Dr.Alekhya.
