Suggest Remedies For Tightness In Chest And Bruised Rib

i tripped and fell going up stairs and feel flat on my face. I now have bruised a broken rib. This been going on now for 3 weeks i have had pain in my ribs my breast bone and shoulder blade and arm. I still have problems with pain when i breathe. I took tynelol and works for a short time. I have iced it and still comes back what should i do

Based on the facts of your query, you seem to suffer from-
Untreated Multiple Rib Fractures.
If not treated it could cause non-union as the ribs are not fixed by
Remedy-
Get Xray Chest Ap and oblique to fix the rib fractures .
Consult the Surgeon / Chest Surgeon.Assess the case for physical damage.
Who,would plan the Straping -to fix the multiple fractured rib segments x 3 -6 weeks for hairline rib fractures and 6-12 weeks for displaced rib fractures.
Narcotic Painkillers-like Tramadol+Paracetamol-like Ultracet-1 tab Sos pain-x 3 -6 tabs maximum if kidney functions are normal, with alkalizers and plenty of fluids.If need be nerve blocks at the painful spots and at post-costo-chondral sites is suggested.
Usually- pain is relieved by 3- 6 weeks.If it persists still displaced fracture needs intercostal nerve blocks Sos with Narcotic +paracetamol.
Vit D3 +Calcium to aid fast healing with alendronate (biphosphonates) in cases of aged with osteoporotic rib fractures+Calcitonin may be needed.
High protein balanced diet would help fast recovery of rib fractures.
Conservative management is the mainstay of multiple fracture rib.
Tightness in chest and bruised rib is to be managed with physiotherapy with lung tapping in dependant positions, to avoid pneumonia from hypoventilation and improper drainage of bronchial secretions.
