Suggest Remedies For The Stuck Nuvaring After Having Intercourse

Hi,

How are you?

My boyfriend and i had intercourse Friday night. The nuvaring seems to be stuck inside me - i feel bloated, got a few dizzy spells yesterday (that i now realize seems to be related to the ring) and now a foul odor (for now, only when I stick my finger to try to locate it) which causes me to have a yellowish discharge.

Thank you in advance

Hi,
Thanks for your question.
It seems that you have acquired a lower genital tract infection. It may be a STD.
Rarely, very serious possibly fatal, bacterial infection (toxic shock syndrome-TSS) may occur in women using vaginal rings. As you are unable to remove it yourself you should see a Gynecologist for help as soon as possible. The doctor will suggest appropriate treatment after that.
Symptoms of toxic shock syndrome, include; sudden high fever, dizziness, fainting, muscle pains, & a rash.
Hope you get well soon.
