Suggest Remedies For Swollen Taste Buds

Hello currently I have swollen taste buds on the back of my tongue as well as down my throat. I ve had the swollen taste buds for about maybe two months now. I went to the doctor and age told me it came from drinking alcohol and eating hot foods. I also did warm salt gargles. I was wondering do you know what I could do to get rid of them?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain swollen taste buds at the back of tongue seems to be swollen Circumvallete Papillae and can occur due a number of causes like burning with hot foods and concentrated chemical substance like concentrated solutions of mouth wash, throat infection, allergies, acid reflux etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and he can do a thorough clinical evaluation and also take a detailed history to rule out the exact cause of the problem and treat you accordingly..
You can be advised to do warm saline gargles..
Take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..
Rinse with cold water and suck ice pops..
Avoid very hot and spicy foods..
Maintain a good Oral hygiene..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
