Suggest Remedies For Swelling In Fingers And Hands Post Intake Of Benedryl

I was prescribed Benedryl to fight welts caused by cold/viral infection. I took the meds yesterday and after an hour my fingers swelled up tremendously 12 hours later the extreme swelling has moved to my hands. Is this ER situation? Drug reaction?

As far as the swelling in the hands after taking benedryl can be an allergic reaction. Nothing to be panic, consult a general physician and get it evaluated immediately. If it progresses it might be life threatening if it involves the head and neck region. I hope i have answered your query. Take care.
