Suggest Remedies For Severe Itching On The Bruise

I ve bruised easily all my life and normally my bruises take a few weeks to heal and there s no residue problems, however....over the last month all that has changed. Now when I get a bruise, I can practically draw a line around it and within a week I have the most insanely itchy rash in the exact shape and size of the healing bruise. It only happens after the bruise begins to heal but good lord it itches so back I wanna draw blood. No amount of cortisol, steroid cream, calamine, or Technu has helped my rash and it lingers well beyond the visible bruise. I can t take this much longer, I m miserable!

Hello,

I understand your concern for the peeling severe itching on the bruise.

After analyzing your query it is evident that you had suffered repeated bruising. You have not told us your age, sex and related information of your occupation or any related medical history.

In general bruising is sometime frequent in females due to bit changes in hormones or in premenstrual part. In males if it recurrent then a thorough investigation is required to rule out the exact cause of the problem.
I suggest you to meet a general physician where the complete investigation regarding the bruising can be done and then accordingly the best suggestion could be given to you.

In my patients I generally go for complete blood tests along with bleeding time and clotting time along with platelet count.
For the part of itching over the bruised area I prefer to give anti-histamine such as cetrizine or levocetrzine or laoratadine for two times a day.

I suggest you to not to scratch the area as can lead to further bruising. Taking vitamin C containing diet helps a lot in reducing the bruising tendency.

Get well soon.
