Suggest Remedies For Severe Abdominal Pain During My Periods
hi dr.niraja! I have severe lower abdominal pain during menstruation. I have heard few people saying not to take pain killers as they would have some serious side effects in the long run in pregnancy or so. Meftal spas really helps but I keep trying to avoid it because of what I have heard. The pain is unbearable. What do i do?

You are wrongly informed.Treatment of excessive pain during menstruation is NSAIDs and antispasmodic like meftal spas.Meftal spas doesn't causes side effects in terms of problem in pregnancy.
However,you need clinical evaluation and investigations.
Ultrasound of pelvis should be done to detect any pathology.
Further investigations can be done after evaluation.
