Suggest Remedies For Multiple Cavities In The Molars Of A Toddler
My grandson just turned 3. His parents tell me that all his molars are rotten and will have to be repaired. They told me that they are so bad that they will have to be supported by some kind of metal brace so they don't collapse during repair. They said they'll need about 3500 dollars for the fix. Any thoughts, sounds odd to me. Thank you
As per your complain, if your grandson has all his molars decayed at the age of 3 then it is probably due to poor maintenance of oral hygiene, taking excess of sweets and other sugary foods.. If they are so grossly decayed and at this age they should be retained so that they do not cause misalignment of permanent teeth as after loss of certain milk teeth the empty spaces are occupied by drifting of adjacent teeth in the empty spaces leading to misaligned permanent teeth.. So my suggestion is to consult a Pedodontist and get evaluated and a proper clinical examination and x ray has to be done for diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.. In case if teeth cannot be saved then they should be removed and space maintainers can be placed..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
