Suggest Remedies For Haematoma On The Tongue

I have a hemotoma on the side of my tongue. I believe it occured during a dental procedure. I was having a crown put on a back tooth. I think the dentist hit my tongue with his tool because I didn't have anything before. I have already seen an oral surgeon who diagnoised it. it has been two weeks and I still have a bruise how long will it take to heal?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a Hematoma is a harmless tumour formed due to accumulation of blood into the soft tissues caused due to ruptured blood vessels secondary to injury..

As you now have a bruise then you need not to worry as the Hematoma or bruising can take a longer time to resolve as the blood will gradually disintegrate from the soft tissues..

You can do alternate warm and cool compresses over it..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
