Suggest Remedies For Fever In An Infant

My daughter is 11months old and her palms and soles of the feet become hot while she sleeps. She is not having any fever and all her other activities are normal. Still it s concerning me. Is it something I should be worried? What is the reason behind it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

Your daughter 11 months old is having her palms and soles of the feet become hot while sleeping.

There are 2 main reasons:
- increased metabolism rate while sleeping
- hot weather where you liver

If you are concerned, I advise to consult with her pediatrician and run thyroid function test to rule out thyroid issues.
If everything is ok, then, keep her well hydrated. Can give paracetamol at bedtime and see changes.

Discuss my options with her pediatrician.

Hope this helps.
