is it normal for a 49 yr old man to have no interest in sexual intercourse or only have interest maybe once a month? he also does not seem to be as erect as before & usually has to manually achieve climax he acts like there is nothing to be worried about

You are 49 years old and is facing problem of decrease in libido and erectile dysfunction .

As the age advances there is fall in level of testosterone in blood at the rate of 1% every year.Testosterone is the main hormone that is responsible to maintain sexual drive of a man .

Second possibility of loss of libido at this age type 2 Diabetes which usually starts at this age of 45 years .

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Serum Testosterone .
2) Blood sugar levels on empty stomach and 2 hours after lunch .
3) Serum lipid profile .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
