Suggest Remedies For Cramps And Diarrhea After Embryo Transfer

Hi Dr. Andrew Rynne i have just been threw IVF and im i had my 5 day embryo transfer on Wednesday 20th of july 2016 and i need to go and get a blood test on friday 29th of july 2009..So its been 5 days now but i got up feeling cramp like i have done since my Embryo transfer and i had to run to the loo and i had diarrhea is this normal or should i do something about this..I have been feeling fine a bit of mood swings now and then.My breasts are swelling and sore i have been having cramp like im about to start my period witch i take that its of the IVF injections..thank you

Thanks for posting on HCM
The symptoms you describe could be causes by a digestive problems or problems linked to your IVF.Given the risks associated with IVF, i will suggest you see your Gynecologist immediately for evaluation.Possible causes of your symptoms could be:
-Linked to IVF: implantation, threatened abortion
-Digestive problem: bacterial, viral or parasitic digestive infection.
You will need a stool exam/culture to exclude or confirm a digestive origin of your symptoms.
In the meantime, you may take an anti-spasmodic like spasfon, oral rehydration salt and zinc tablets to help control your stool quality.After the stool exam and Gynecological evaluation, your Doctor will give you an etiologic management.Your Gynecologist may also evaluate the need to place you on progesterone.
