Suggest Remedies For Bump In The Head Caused By A Fall

I fell two weeks ago after drinking too much and lost my balance wearing high heels . 54 is TOO old to be wearing high heels. I immediately got bump above my left eyebrow. Two days later my eye socket was bruised and inner eye. I feel fine and did not have any signs of a concussion . However the bump ( goose egg) above my eyebrow has not gone down and still is tend to the touch . When will it go down?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,
Take following advise that may help in reducing it
1. Apply Ice Packs Immediately-This will help in vasoconstriction of your blood vessels and limit swelling and inflammation. Apply an icepack for 20 minutes, take a 5-minute break and use another icepack. Apply icepacks for at least 24 hours after your injury
2. Hot Fomentation After 24 Hours-Don't apply it for more than 15 minutes at a stretch. This improves blood circulation and accelerates healing.
3. Tablet Dilophen SP (500+50+15)- Three times a day for 5-6 day

If not relived contact to doctor.

Take care
