Yes. I hurt my ankle while trying to jump off my son s hoverboard. My foot turned and i heard a pop, now my ankle is still hurting, but i can walk on it, although i can t bend it up without it hurting. It happened last Wednesday, how much longer will it take to heal?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have ankle pain caused by trauma . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like arthritis , gout , nerve damage or injury, such as sciatica , blocked blood vessels or infection in the joint ,But in your case the symptoms are due to trauma , which can cause hematoma , fracture or joint dislocation. I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may order CT scan or MRI to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may recommend physical therapy , prescribe muscle relaxant along with stretching exercises . Doctor may give plaster or recommend surgery in severe damage . For now apply ice pack several times a day and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain. .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
