Suggest Remedies For An Itchy, Liquid Oozing Cut In The Navel

A about a week ago my navel started itching on the inside, the next day and every day I put a quip with alcohol inside my navel there was discolor and bright red blood and around my navel small cut s that itch on the outside. The blood has been less day to day but more discolor and fluid running out with Oder. This morning it looks like small cuts on inside and I have been having small sharp pains and nausea. Is this a big concern. Do I need to go to emergency room or just make an appointment with my dr.

It seems that you may have an Infection (with an abscess) in your navel.

Would you clarify a few things for me, please?
-do you have any fever or abdominal pain?
-do you have any other medical issues or take any medications?
-how old are you?
-any previous surgeries?

I recommend :
- a physician consult right away (or a visit to the ER is your doctor is not available for the next 24 hrs)
-blood tests (complete blood count, kidney and liver function tests, erythrocyte sedimentation rate)
-urine analysis
-culture of the fluid that is oozing from the navel
-ultrasound abdomen or CT scan of the abdomen (depending on the clinical findings)
-antibiotics and drainage of the pus.

Based on this a further treatment plan can be made. Please see a doctor withing the next 24 hrs.
