Suggest Prognosis Of Lung Cancer With Lymph Node Involvement

hi Doctor, my dad was diagnosed with stage 3b non small cell lung cancer july of 2010, he was told in sept that he would have up to 6months with no treatment or up to 18months with treatment he chose the treatment, has completed 3 rounds and beginning 3rd today as we speak in kingston on, canada. his tumors are as folllow, one small spot in upper left lung, also in median areas or lymph nodes, and large tumor on bottom right lung, after just 1st treatment the large tumor had shrunk a great deal and a little mor after 2nd, how good of news is this, and what do you think his prognosis may now be.

Your dad is suffering from stage 3 lung cancer,
Treatment consist of combined chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Since his tumour has shrunk after treatment his symptoms will reduce and quality of life will improve.
Average survival time varies from 1 to 2 years.
