Suggest Possible Treatments For High BP

HI DOCTOR, I AM SUFFERING FORM HYPERTENSION FOR LAST 8 YEARS, STARTED MEDICATION 50MG ATENOLOL, AFTER 5 YEARS GAIN SOME PONDS AND BP START SHOOTING UP 180/100, DOCTOR ADD LOSAR H WITH 50 MG ATENOLOL THIS MEDICINE WORK GOOD FOR ME 3 YEARS, NOW AGAIN AFTER 3 YEAR, MY BP SHOOTS TO 200/100, DESPITE OF TAKING BOTH MEDICINE REGULARLY AS I SAID ABOVE, NOW DOCTOR STOP LOSAR H & ATENOLOL 50, AND START CILACAR 10MG + METOPROLOL 25MG IN 8 AM MORNING & LOSAR 50 AT NIGHT TIME, SO MY QUESTION IS THIS COMBINATIONS CAN CONTROL THE BP, I MONITOR BUT IT SLIGHTLY HIGHER SIDE VARIES IN BETWEEN140/90 TO 155/100 . PLEASE SUGGEST OTHER TESTS ARE NORMAL LIKE SUGAR FASTING 83, LIPID 121, ECG NORMAL, COLOR DOPPLER ECHO (LEFT VENTRICLE ,CONCENTRIC LVH), KFT IS NORMAL, ULTRASOUND IS ALSO NORMAL, TSH NORMAL,

I would suggest you look for secondary hypertension by renal artery Doppler for renal artery stenosis, 24 hour urine VMA and metanephrines for adrenal gland tumours and serum renin: aldosterone ratio. I suspect high aldosterone levels and if so, a drug like Spirinolactone would help control BP . 155/100 is still high and needs to be brought down.
