Suggest Possible Treatment For Hypothyroidism

I have hypothyroidism and have had it for 15 years. It s been fine until the past 2 years. It s been fluctuating a lot. Recently I have felt hypothyrodic. I have been lethargic, gaining weight, very painful in every joint, and puffy face with dry skin everywhere. I have been sweating, not just exercising, but sweating for 30 min a day 5-6 days per week for the past 6 months. I have not lost weight, but gained. I know it s not just muscle gain because my clothes fit the same, if not a bit tighter. I have been deiting too. I have had recent blood work come back saying my free T3 level is 3.25 but my dr. doesn t want to do anything about it. She agreed it s low, but she d rather leave it. I don t like living like this. I want to set a good example for my kids and lose weight. They are made fun of at school because I am the fat mom. Also I have had difficulty concentrating and remembering my course material. This has been reflected in my marks. What can I do? It s very hard to find a new dr in this city

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have lethargy, weight gain, dry skin, inability to concentrate. These all symptoms suggest hypothyroidism.
You should check your T3, T4 and TSH level. TSH level is more important so go for it.
Treatment is levothyroxine. If you are already taking levothyroxine then dosage can be adjust according to your thyroid level. Consult your doctor and start treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
