Seroquel and trazodone do different things. One is an anti-psychotic, the other is an antidepressant. cannot say in your particular case, but generally, we have physicians deciding on medications instead of "seeing what makes one feel better". Often psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar illness, drug addiction makes a person's judgement not quite right and they use drugs that make them feel better and yet makes their thinking, judgement, behavior, far worse.
