Suggest Nonsurgical Procedure To Clear Blockage In Arteries

I am an 80 year old man. I have had an angiogram done at a local hospital. There are several blockages. the major one 90% and not repairable by stent. And a heart murmur. Indications are that I require open heart surgery for bypasses and a valve job. I do not want to go that route because of all the negative factors for a man my age. Can you suggest a non-invasive regimen to clear the arteries?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The management of arterial blockage depend on the degree of blockage.
Small blockages are managed by stent insertion.
However, if the blockage is large, it may not be cleared by stenting.
Medical treatment alone is not effective in clearing the blockage.
Age is a risk factor for surgery but the risk factors have to be weighed against the benefits.
You need to consult your cardiologist to assess the fitness for surgery because surgery is the only definitive treatment available at the moment.

Thanks and take care
