Suggest Non Surgical Treatment For Carotid Artery Disease

I have carotid artery disease. 85% blockage on the right, 80% blockage on the left. Surgery seems inevitable. A few minutes of blindness in the right eye earlier this year was the tip off. I am 62 and otherwise in good health. Normal to slightly elevated blood pressure. I am 6 3 220 lbs work out everyday. Is there any way I might be able to avoid surgery?

But in your case the blockage is severe and need surgical procedure . There are certain procedures available like carotid endarterectomy , carotid artery angioplasty and stenting . Doctor will perform one depending upon your condition . For now try to reduce your weight by controlling your diet .
