Suggest Methods To Increase Breast Milk Volume

Hello Doctor,

I am back to work after having baby, my son is now 7 months old. I have weaned him off from morning feeding and only feed him after i come back from work. From past 2-3 days i feel he is not getting that much milk at night and cries when his stomach is not filled that much. Please suggest as i planning to feed him upto 2 years of age. I feel guilty if i don't feed him till 2 years of age.

Hi dear
welcome to the HCM,
Repeated suckling of the breast is the only stimulus for the effective lactation.
Since whole day the baby is not suckling so the stimulus is not going to the brain and hence decreased lactation.
Weaning time.
Baby is 7 month old can be very well supplemented with semisolids. and it should be tried frequently.
