Suggest Methods To Handle Panic Attacks

Hi,
I'm 16, female and pretty normal.
I keep having panic attacks and hyperventilate as I speak. I'm not sure what to do. I've had counseling and therapy, but I get worked up and upset in that situation. I've also tried relaxation techniques but I snap back to being tense and anxious quickly.
I feel trapped and at loss. Is there anything I can do?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi,thank you for using health care magic.
I can understand your concern.
As you reported counselling and therapy did not help you, I would suggest to use medication for controlling symptoms.
Medicines like sertraline, peroxetine, are main line treatment for anxiety disorder. also Proprenolol , clonazepam can also give you symptomatic relief. Further you can add psychotherapy to medicines which will give you more benefit.
I would suggest you to consult psychiatrist for further help. You might also need thyroid function tested which I think your treating psychiatrist would take care.
Hope this will help you
Regards.
