Suggest Methods To Control The Sugar Level

Dr, I am diabetic, hypertension, heart and asthmatic person and 60 yrs old. I am now taking glucored forte, jalra 50, insulin 30 units in am and pm, irovel 150, listril 5, korandil 10 and asthalin inhaler. Now I am able to have BP under control but my sugar level goes up to 170 or so in the morning (fasting) please suggest to me if i have to try anythingelse. Because of muscle pains i stopped storvas 10 and also my cholastral level went down very much. My primary concern is to bring down the sugar level. My hb1a test was 8.5 which is of course high. I walk half an hour daily. Very careful in diel. Help me please, I want to know what to do to bring down the sugar level

Hello,
Thanks for asking HCM.
What ever you are doing seems to be fine.
Add more fiber to your diet less of carbohydrate.
May be you require to add little more to your walk or light exercise within your comfort zone.Do add yoga as well it might benefit your asthma as well.
You have not mentioned about your morning post prandial level of sugar in the morning. Please check that as well as evening fasting and post postprandial, so that doses of your drug s can be modified if required.
You should see a dietitian as well.
If not improved within two to thee weeks after life modification see your doctor to adjust your dose of medication.
