Hello Thanks for asking

You are taking 75 mg of Venlafaxine, 0.5 mg Clonazepam and Zolpidem. You have diagnosed with bipolar depression most probably. You are not getting relief and intact symptoms are getting worse. You want to go for ECT.

Saphris is Asenapin and Latuda is Lurasidone. Both are anti-psychotic drugs and and are almost equally efficacious. They are new drugs and can help in improving symptoms and can prove positive.

ECT is good option, and this is a nice modality of treatment in resistant cases. Consult your psychiatrist for proper choice of treatment.

Thanks, hope this helps you

Hello thanks for asking from HCM

I can understand your concern. You have been diagnosed with manic depression and are on Venlafaxine, Clonazepam and Zolpidem. The symptoms are getting worse and now your doctor is going to prescribed Saphris (Asenapine) or Latuda (Lurasidone). If we consider efficacy of these medicines then both medicines have almost equal efficacy in controlling these symptoms. Both medicines are safe and belongs to same class of drugs. ECT is one of safe methods for severe depressive symptoms and excited mania. The therapy is free ors serious side effects and you can consult with your psychiatrist for that also.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
