my mother is suffered from osteoprosis (high medium stage). her bones dynsometry level is 2.1* all time pains have her spine bone & right hand side leg & arms with shoulder* pl. suggest medicines. can she takes cartigen forte drugs.

Hai. your mother is suffering with osteoporosis and cartigen is drug for osteoarthritis mainly knee. i advice you to ask your mother to take calcitonin nasal spray each nostril one metered puff alternate nostrils for three months. or she can take bisphosphonates which are available weekly , ibandronate 150 mg monthly or Zoledronic acid is given intravenously (IV)once in six months
