Suggest Medicine For Cough And Cold During Pregnancy

hello doctor my name is kamila and am 30 years old my weight is 74 and my height is 5.0feet am in the seventh month of pregnancy now for the past two days am affected by cough and cold does this affect my baby what treatment or medicine i should go for?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion the flu and cough are commonly seen in as the immunity is decreased in pregnancy.You can take symptomatic treatment like panadol,cetrizine and cough syrup like benadryl.But if the infection is persisting and severity increasing like productive cough with altered sputum and fever then you might need a course of antibiotics.
