Suggest Medications For Tonsillitis?

I take a blue and brown inhaler. I had to stop because it seemed to be causing swolen tonsils and white vien like stuff on them. It went away. I then started again and I now have one swolen tonsil with white and dark Gray stuff on. Is this tonsilitice? I also brush my teeth and rinse my mouth every use of my inhaler.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello!
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.
If you have red swollen tonsils with white or yellow coating or patches on the tonsils, sore throat, difficult or painful swallowing, fever.
Tonsillitis is most often caused by common viruses, but bacterial infections can also be the cause.

I suggest to consult a physician so he can perform an physical examination of your tonsils and probably need to do some tests (throat swab, complete blood count) to find out the right cause and get the right treatment.

Meanwhile you need rest, get plenty of sleep, drink plenty of water to keep the throat moist and prevent dehydration.
-Warm liquids , broth, caffeine-free tea or warm water with honey — and cold treats like ice pops can soothe a sore throat.
-Prepare a saltwater gargle.A saltwater gargle of 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) of table salt to 8 ounces (237 milliliters) of warm water can help soothe a sore throat.
-If you have fever you can take Ibuprofen or Paracetamol.

Hope my answer has helped.
Take care.
