Suggest Medications For Respiratory Infections

I was diagnosed with a respiratory infection on friday and given no medication.I m experiencing some pain in my upper chest region and am wondering if that s normal. I was also given no prescription, and have been experiencing symptoms for about a week. Should I seek a second opinion?

HI,Dear, Thanks for the query from you for your respiratory infection with pain in upper chest? which side not mentioned...for a 1 wks time and if 2nd opinion is needed ?1-I am happy that you are serious to know why this upper chest pain is persisting n why the first doctor has not taken it seriously as you think? 2-In my opinion this pain appears to be infective myalgia with respiratory infection, without any other symptom as you did not mention in your query.3-Your medical history does not lmention which side of the chest pain is there?4-But the worry you expressed would be true if the chest pain is on the left upper chest?5-I would advise General physicians opinion-who would do the needful -CBC,Chest-X-ray to rule out any lung infection,for your chest pain...6-Hence I would suggest you to go to ER physician for the evaluation and treatment of such cases.7-Hope this would resolve the causative worry of the patient in question .If treated on this line, the fearing patient , should not worry you much.8-Hope this would solve your worry of the upper chest pain,if its lt sidede.9-Wellcome to HCM for any more query.
